There should be a dashboard in admin where you can see your sales in different periods of time and in different categories shown in some graph or table.

You basically use proxy models and inherit from admin templates.
I am a little busy these days if no one does it i will do it but i'll be busy for a few days. a week max

I have recently come across a library ChartJs I will look into it and maybe implement it
