Having the ability to select from a list of examples could help those trying to learn specific language concepts. A dialog box would be necessary to confirm overwriting the existing code.

Just a quick idea: What about adding an iframe around the regular playground and put some links in a top bar off that iframe that would just load gleam code if clicked... and then the regular playground would not need any change and could be laoded without the examples-top-bar?
