Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

Base TTT let you check a body to view if they had bodyarmor or not, it seems this was removed in TTT2

Describe the solution you'd like

It would be cool if this was brought back, its a cool feature I think

Additional context

Add any other context or screenshots about the feature request here.

In base ttt after buying body armor and dying

Just as a discussion-starter: Why would you like this to be added back?
I don't see a big advantage nor disadvantage in having it or not having it.

Points that I can think of right now:

  • NEG: It would clutter the body search more (meh, not that much of a negative, but definitely not a possitive imo)
  • NEUTRAL: It would give away if a person has spent credits on armor, or received it by other means (might confuse people on roles that would normaly not have armor? Probably overthinking this point by now though).
  • PRO: Could of course "clarify" a situation in where someone needs drastically more hits to kill, and you then know he had armor (though I don't think this happens very often)

I'm not against nor for it, just want to know a broader viewpoint on this.

I kind of agree adding it back. TTT2 supported items (like armor) being shown in the search UI. I forgot to add it back in the day and never thought of it again.

I'd personally like to add a list of items the player had. This should also be pretty simple after the current vgui rework I'm working on.

But I also agree with Nick that most people probably don't care. But this doesn't mean that everybody doesn't care.

Hm, an extra list would probably be a good idea. And if this is already something you wanted to add back, I guess it should be added back.

I have something unintrusive in mind. I think we should add it back because we also added extra features for those who like to use their detective skills. Removing something is therefore a bad approach

How would this interact with new body armor, though? I thought you didn't see body armour anymore because it can be destroyed, and you can gain armor through other sources without buying body armor itself.

Good question that I did not consider so far. However, I do want to readd items and effects in some way to the body search. I will think about this once I got the vgui PR done
