This issue came up because of an email to the XMM GOF helpdesk.
Currently pySAS cannot download proprietary data from the XMM Science Archive maintained by ESA. Downloading data from the XSA through pySAS uses astroquery, but proprietary data requires a username and password. The XMM module in astroquery does allow inputting a username and password, but pySAS currently does not allow the user to input their username and password.
This issue will be resolved in the near future.
