Some WM/DE uses a window of class _NET_WINDOW_TYPE_DESKTOP to manage their background. In such cases, display/showDesktop is able to display the background properly.

However, this background window would cover the background of main win, which is controlled by display/background and display preservePages. This renders the latter two config options useless in these scenarios.

Rethinking design: desktop windows should have their own section, very similar to panel section, except without the reserveSpace option. backgroundTinting would tint the desktop window and then apply the preservePages option.
