I've had a similar issue, but noticed:

You CAN save the course, it just doesn't show up on LMS Portal. It won't show up in New, Upcomming, etc. But if you go into Desk, and click on courses ... it will be there. So I played around with that and it appears on the portal only after publishing it.

@quantazelle @ablashek only published courses show up under the Live Section, other courses, like, for example, you just created a course and its not published then you can see the same in the Created section.

@pateljannat follow these steps:

From the LMS Portal, create a new course / chapter / lesson. Save it, but do not publish. You won't be able to see this course anywhere to continue working. You will have to go into desk, look up the course and work on it from the desk ui until it's ready to publish. Once published you can continue to work on it from the LMS Portal. I feel the correct way for this to work is in the Upcomming section show unpublished courses. So people can work on them without accessing desk.

Since I have your attention, something has been bugging me:

  1. If you are using Google Chrome [Windows 11], the plus sign to add content to a lesson does not show up. I have to transfer over to Microsoft Edge for it to work. I have disabled all additional components of Chrome just to see if that was an issue for the js to stop working. But no difference.

finally, the adding of youtube videos is a bit cumberson because you have to copy and paste the values in a very specific way or else the system takes the link as text and then doesn't convert into a video. Please please please add a button / popup for videos. Its one of the mayor parts of this product and really need a way to do it thats foolproof.

Fyi: if the youtube link as www or https:// in front it won't work. If I manually delete those characters and leave the "youtube.com/" by itself it considers it to be a text and wont convert into a video player. So an option for youtube or vimeo videos would be soo helpful to people that use different browsers.

Thanks!

How did you resolve this ?

I was able to create a course. But unable to add chapter or lesson. The following error shows up.

In the desk app, I can see a chapter entry was created. But this doesn’t show up in the lms portal.

We are trying to setup internal training content for the organisation using LMS.

Looks like a browser issue. I was trying this all the while using Safari when all this error popped up. Working fine when I tried same using chrome.
