Hi @The888Coder I have finished python version of this course (16h, which took my like 100h + to complete and understand everything) I have finished JS version too (32h in real time no idea how long but I bet it was also something around 100h+) additionally I have finished AI version of this course (26hours + idk how many real hours) and completed all challenges receiving all possible badges. I have also competed in 3 hatckathons so far building 3 big projects for web3. Previously I was programming trading robots for forex market (freelance) and I had some experience with Java. After all of that and building my portfolio website I STILL DID NOT LAND A SINGLE INTERVIEW (was applying tons to web3/web2 etc. all kind of positions). I'm actively helping people from those courses as I think I understand programming pretty well, building a lot of projects for myself developing my skills every single day working in my current job and after that coding for another min 3 hours, but as you can see it is not enough for any kind of paid job. Maybe that is bad luck maybe I'm bad at coding and I do not know it, not sure what is wrong, but I love coding and I know that is what I want to do, so I'm keep trying... |

Hi Guys, just wondering if anyone on here has landed any kind of a job whether full time block chain developer, part time, apprenticeship, freelance etc. upon completion of this 32 hour course?
If not how many hours of other extra courses (YouTube or otherwise) or projects did you have to build or hours learning other languages (and which ones) did you have to invest before getting your first job. What sort of a timeframe would I be looking at roughly?
I am asking because it appears from what I have read that the crypto/ blockchain space is in a bit of a bear market at the moment and just want make sure the prospect of getting a job in blockchain with no computer science degree is still a reality and possible from some people who have already been there and got the t-shirt and actually landed a job in smart contract development or any other kind of programming work following completion of this course.
A Little about my background: I am 37 and have a 1:1 degree in architecture with no previous experience working in the IT sector and am currently able to invest all my time each day into learning programming. If I get extra time I will also learn the basics JavaScript as I feel this would make me more employable.
Any tips/ advice or just real world lived experience from others would be greatly appreciated! As I am new to all this.
