It seems like this project is more or less dead. There are plenty of issue and PRs (aka interest).

Can @yudai add a few maintainers to help move this project forward?

@jasondeutsch Any chance to take on the job to fork this project? Just like your comment in #258, my team is considering to apply this utility as a submodule of our project.

Here is a request for everyone willing to take over, fork and or maintain this (very usefull) project.

If you're gonna do so make sure you have a well kept "Releases Page" .
providing prebuild up to date binaries for different architectures (Linux, win, x64, arm etc)

Especially the Raspberry Pi, where it runs fabously.
This is such a usefull tool, and it would help spread it's use.

I know that compiling Go is a piece of cake.
But not so in tiny devices with small memory and cpu.
Plus, it helps package managers for different Linux distros, who want
to distribute, in addition to the source version, "package gotty", also distrribute a precompiled "package gotty-bin"

Nowadays there's plentiful of free option for automating the builds and releases for Go
projects. Github Actions is a also a wonderfull tool. So there's no excuse for not providing such a tiny go tool for a large audience.

And make sure you mention ARM compatibility in the front README page.

It's been some time since I opened this issue. My hope was that we could keep things going with this project here, however that does not seem like a reality. At this point, I'm happy to fork and get others involved with getting issues resolved, prs reviewed and merged, etc...

I'm currently dealing with the winter storm pandemonium in Austin but I'll leave it to the replies/emoji's to tell me if there is enough interest in the idea above.

I've forked it here

Currently dealing with the winter storm/power issues in Austin. Hope to begin merging some of the open PRs.

Maintainers welcome.

I'm sorry, I didn't see your comment here, so I've also forked it: https://github.com/sorenisanerd/gotty

I've merged some of the PR's from here and will go through the rest of them shortly and will also start addressing issues filed here.

What about creating a "gotty" organization (or something like this as gotty is picked) and grouping with sibling projects like gotty-client?
