Description of Organization

DigitalPlat is an organization providing free domain registration services. We initially operated under US.KG NIC, offering subdomains for users and projects. DigitalPlat is fiscally sponsored by The Hack Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN: 81-2908499).

Due to external stability concerns with the ccltd .kg registry, we are introducing dpdns.org as a more reliable domain while continuing to manage us.kg with stricter registration requirements.

Organization Website:
https://digitalplat.org

Reason for PSL Inclusion

Previously, us.kg was added to the PSL under PR #1755. However, due to .kg registry-related stability issues, we have migrated all existing subdomains to dpdns.org, which provides a more stable and secure alternative.

  • dpdns.org is now our primary domain, ensuring stable and secure domain management. All users have been migrated to this domain.
  • us.kg will continue to be available in the near future with stricter registration requirements due to changes in ccTLD policies and stability concerns.
  • Adding dpdns.org to the PSL is crucial for maintaining proper cookie isolation, preventing unauthorized cross-domain access, and ensuring consistent browser security policies. Without PSL inclusion, services using subdomains under dpdns.org may face cookie mismanagement and security risks.

Number of users affected:
153,904 active subdomains.

## **DNS Verification**
To verify ownership of dpdns.org, we have set up a TXT record at `_psl.dpdns.org`:

dig +short TXT _psl.dpdns.org
"https://github.com/publicsuffix/list/pull/2414"

We commit to maintaining these records indefinitely.

Just my 2 cents, 153904 users registered just for us.kg, a domain that was already included in the PSL for years, and you happen to be the new owner.
If your new domain cannot be included in the PSL, it may not achieve a similar level of user activities.

Anyway, here's a checklist:

  • Expiration (Note: Must STAY >2y at all times)
    • dpdns.org 2027-03-13 2y-2d is still 2y I guess?
  • DNS _psl entries (Note: Must STAY in place)
  • Reasoning/Organization description
    • ✅ DigitalPlat do have a huge user base thanks to us.kg
  • Non-personal email address
  • Abuse contact
Consider a redirect or simple page on http(s)://dpdns.org showing your contact.

Please ignore my deleted comment. The domain is listed on the FreeDomain repository README which has the us.kg domain as well: https://github.com/DigitalPlatDev/FreeDomain

I'm assuming you mean us.kg will be phased out as a suffix for your subdomain service and will be replaced by dpdns.org, so all your existing users will be using dpdns.org as suffix going forward (user1.us.kg -> user1.dpdns.org.) Please be aware of propagation delays as changes to the PSL may take time to percolate to clients - browsers and other software that incorporate the PSL often operate on different update schedules, and it may take weeks or months for your changes to be fully recognized across all implementations.

When you entirely phase out us.kg (number of users at us.kg = 0), please remember to submit another PR to remove it from PSL.

When visiting http://dpdns.org/, there's currently just a minimal page displaying "Hi". It would be helpful if you could update this with a more informational page that explains your service, what this domain is used for, and provides clear information about how to contact you in case of abuse reports. This would improve transparency for anyone investigating the domain.

Thank you for your response. However, we will still be reopening US.KG registration in the near future, and we have currently added DNS records for certain important websites. I already set up a redirect from dpdns.org to our official website (domain.digitalplat.org). If US.KG is no longer in use, I will submit a PR to remove it. Thank you again.

Sorry for bothering you, but your TXT record at _psl.dpdns.org is wrong:

1000395679

It should be:

If US.KG is reopened, can the current dpdns.org be changed back to US.KG?
