Installing RebornRec

Requirements

The only requirements are as follows:

• Windows 7 SP1 or newer (to run the server software), with Windows 10/11 recommended.
• PC capable of running older versions of Rec Room, essentially if it has DirectX 11 support, you should be good to go. Versions before the "Let There Be Lights!" update usually do have alternative graphics APIs to DirectX 11, but those graphics APIs tend to be very unstable with Rec Room and should be avoided.
• Steam installed and running.
• An internet connection..

If your PC passes these requirements, then good! If not, try updating your drivers to ensure your GPU is capable of DirectX 11, if that doesn't fix it, then you could take the risk of running older versions without DirectX 11, but this is not recommended and instead you should search for an actually capable machine.

Installing

RebornRec comes in a small zip file, with no dependencies required as it is a self-contained Native AOT app.

Make sure you have the most recent version of RebornRec downloaded from the releases section.

Now with your RebornRec zip downloaded, extract the contents of the zip to its own special folder, and then run it.

This will cause a console window (the UI) to pop up, and shortly after, show a tutorial for you to follow.
